We put our project up for sale at the tech day! People loved it. Our homeroom teachers in laws bought it for $21. We covered the production cost, and each made a dollar :P Im very happy our group was successful in the making of our product.

Today we cut our chain and figured out how much to use. We figured we should use 2, 20" chains on each side of the board. We are connecting the chain to the board with (iHOOKS). Our project looks great (: -Soccerlover

Today in class we sponge painted the neon colors onto our board, using a flower pattern. Our board looks sick(: Next class we are planning on doing the same thing to the back of our board, and then writing (M.M.M.P) M.M.M.P is our logo on the back with white paint. And we are using a old plant pot that we painted in the beginning in place of our now broken pot.

Today in IT our group sanded the board down so it was smooth, and then painted it solid black. Our goal is to sponge paint neon colors over the black. Unfortunately someone accidentally broke one of our plant pots today.. So we have to start over on that pot. But our group is still working good and being successful. (: -soccerlover

today michelle and mariah were absent but molly and paige saved the day!! haha they measured all three of the holes and cut out two of them, so now all we have left to do is drill out another hole and paint the board. :)

Today during tech we searched the web looking for plant pots and we found tons but it was hard to find them that were smaller than 8 inches and were under $20.

the budget shouldnt be very much.

Today we had to do a worksheet, instead of completing the installation of our computers. On the worksheet we wrote or name and recorded the numbers (1,0) that make the letter and did it for each letter of our name. This is called coding. Mr. Kelley tells us that we have been coding almost everyday by doing our blogs. He explains there are new languages for these computers for the computers that will make them run faster than what we already have. He tells us if we had more time we would have been checking our computers if anything was wrong by trouble shooting. HE explains that if it isn't starting is we can press the restart button and reboot it. If the computer goes BEEEP it means something it wrong with the CPU. If it turns on and the fans turn on, it means its running. If it doesn't start like that, he has to unplug and replug the wires to make the computer work. So far there are three other computers that will not turn on at all, and3 others that will turn on but won't do work. He took them apart and replug them. Later he realized it was that the video card wasn't OK. We have to check out if our light works, our speaker works, and light works. It will last awhile just to make sure whatever we are trying out is stable. He will have to reinstall XP because it will become slow over time when faster companies are invented. After everything is done, he will have us install recovery points, now that Windows XP was updated with it.

We missed our I.T. class on Wednesday because of a snow storm.
On Friday 14, 2007, we installed Windows XP and the Internet to it. We made it so that the computer is connected with the school district. When we installed windows XP, it showed the background 'Bliss' but with no thumbnails. We clicked the Windows bar at the bottom, and the default thumbnails were there: Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, calculator, drawing, and so on. We clicked on the Internet thumbnail, and we saw that it was not installed. Mr. Kelley gave us a black CD to install the Internet.

Today we have comletly finished plugging in our wires. Now we clean it up a bit by using zip ties so it looks neater and easier to work with if there is anything wrong with it. We tied up the wires from the power supply and tucked them into the space between the computer wall and the CD holder. We tied up the wires so the computer will turn on and the sound and tucked it in under the motherboard (we have the case on its side, to the wires look like its under the motherboard. DO NOT PUT ANYTHING UNDER THE MOTHERBOARD UNLESS ITS A STAND UP PINS!!!)

Today we are ready to fire up our computers and hope that it will be successful, or we'll have to stay over for summer school, helping Mr.Kelley build computers. To fire it up we plug it to the printers and screen. He would have already tested a already made computer to the screen to make sure nothing is wrong with it. But if it does not work, it may not be our clumsiness. Sometimes the part we have gotten may be faulty. So we would still get the grades for putting it in correctly, despite the bad parts.

We are almost done now the speaker and some of the orange wires are put in and all we have to do now is put a few more wires in.

Today we have put in the hard drive and the RAM into our computer. We have to put the hardrive into the slot right below the slots for the floppydrive. We screw it in on both sides and fit the RAM into the long orange slots on the motherboard, and snap it in on the sides. After today, we will only have 5 more I.T. classes. We have to plug in the sound and other wires, and by the end of the year 2007, it will have to work or we will have to stay for Summer school, helping Mr.Kelley.

Today, we are putting in out CPU and processor. The processor goes on top of the CPU. You have to press hard to get it in firmly. The CPU is the center processor unit of the tower. The processor cools down the computer with its heat sink and is the brains of the computer.

Today unscrew the covers and Mr.Kelley shows us what each wire does. He gave us a cd to watch, and listen to, which tells us where and what the wires are and what they go to.

Today we put in the mother board. We had to figure out where the standouts go for the mother board to stand on. We had to be careful with the mother board, because if we ruined it in any way, the computer will short circuit and we would have to stay for summer school.We screwed the Mother board. We switched the IO panel so the motherboard can fit.

Today, we are inserting the dvd rom. We will only put in one, since that is all the school will need. We plug in the semi large 4 holed wire into the dvd rom. We screwed it in with small black screws. We pulged it in with the ribbon that came with the motherboard anf hooked it up to the mother board.

Today Mr. Kelley told us to take the sides off our new computer cases and we looked at the inside and figured out how to take everything out and looked at our audio to figure out what every thing does.

Today, we've gotten our computer. The box had various holes and dents, but the computer (the tower) was in perfect condition. Other groups in Group Three had gotten computers that had been either 'stolen' by another group or had computers less than satisfactory. For example: one group had bought a case that they were told to have a mirror-like sheen. Instead of seeing their reflections in the case, it had and almost opaque silver touch to it. Another bought a case that they were told it was to be a bright orange, and gotten a dark orange instead. and yet another group had gotten the same case except it was supposed to be a nice yellow, and it was a gold color instead. That's advertising.

Today we learn that our computer has been ordered and that it is being sent to us. Mr.Kelley shows us two motherboards, one smaller than the other. He asks us what the difference is from one to another. The bigger one can hold more memory and has a bigger fan. The smaller one has U.S.B. ports and have plugs for a mouse, keyboard, printer, and a monitor. Since we have our computers are coming, we have free time today to get up to date with our blog and play on our iBookG4's.

Today, Mr.Kelley explains that the CPU is just like our brain. When we put an icepack on our forehead, we can think clearer, just like a CPU that is being cooled. It controls mostly everything, and it works very quickly. We also learned that buying online can be cheaper and you can get rebate. It is much quicker than going to store to store physically. The store is quicker to get the actual computer though.

today, Mr. Kelley explains to us that we don't have to buy computers that are medium size, we could buy one of the smaller ones, as long as it fits the mother board. We could also buy a power drive separate from a computer if it didn't come with one.
Then we took apart part of a computer. We took of the top cover and then the front cover. After that, Mr. Kelley told us to take out the wires in the cd drive then wiggle it out. Then he asked us too take out the wires from the floppy disk drive, and put everything back together again.

Today is the first day, in which we search for computers that are $50 or less including shipping, power supply, and the actual price. After we have found one, we need to check it out with Mr. Kelley and then email it to him. We have already have one so we need to find out how much it costs.
